Do you "C" what I'm saying?

Okay, so I know Cheyenne is 4 months now, but there is something that I need help with.  When we decided on her name one of the reasons that we were excited about the name was what we would call her for short.  Little did we know it would be this difficult to decide how to spell it. 

Here's where you come in...

• Cheyenne's full name is Cheyenne Chispita Clark
• For short we want to call her by her first and middle initials...C.C.
• How would you spell it?

Cheyenne at 4 Months

Oh CeCe Bear! You have grown so much! We love having you around to...

Read to you...

Sit out on the porch on hot summer days... 

 Make us smile...

 Make us laugh...

and of course watch you grow!

Fun Facts:

• Cheyenne smiles more and more.
• Is awake for a lot longer periods of time.
• She is such a friendly baby.  She smiles at any one that she comes in contact with.
• She has started rolling over from side to side and working on rolling to her tummy and back.
• She is getting her voice through her trach.
• She is beginning to reach for her feet and play with them.
• She blinks back at you when you say "ojitos"  (little eyes) as you blink to her.
• She reaches her toys and puts them straight in her mouth.
• We think there might be a tooth peeking out.
• She accidentally does a kissing sound with her lips.
• She is holding her head up with out wobbling.
• She loves sitting up and is getting good at sitting with almost no help.

Medical Facts:

• She had a swallow study done and the results indicated she protects her airway. Making it one step closer to bottle feedings.
• She was given a Passy Muir Valve (speaking valve).  This helps her project her voice through her throat and out her mouth, smell and taste.  She is not to fond of it because for the first time she can hear herself which is a strange thing for all of us.

3 Months

Cheyenne is now 3 Months.  She is growing so much.  She interacts and responds to people. 

She is a very smiley baby which I have to admit is very rewarding.



She loves holding her hands, pacifier, and trach.


AND YES! we got her ears pierced on her 3rd month birthday. (look closely)

For our records...
We now can see that she is using her nose to breathe since we can see her nostrils flare. 
We can hear her voice when she cries (hard enough) or sometimes when she cooes. She's also burping.  That's a sign that she is getting air past her trach and through her mouth.

Happy 6th Birthday

Drew turned 6 on May 5th and had a birthday party in late May.  She invited some of her friends and family to Chuck E. Cheese.  They had lots of fun!

Toophers

Drewberry lost her 2 bottom teeth.  The 1st on May 31st by force! She actually came to me and asked if I would pull her tooth...and so I did, with the help of Frankie.  She was pretty brave.  Her 2nd on June 5th at grandma and grandpa's house while she was wiggling it.  She was so excited to get some money from the toothfairy and her helper 'El Ratonito' (a guatemalan tradition). Unfortunelty, I accidently deleted the pictures and video that we took the day it happened :(
